At first glance, that may be all it seems to be.

A fire station, a crew, a couple of fire trucks and a group of Firemen.

But to us, it means more than that. It marks the beginning of a promise.

A promise to serve the good people of that neighborhood 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, no matter what.

My name is Fred Mooneyham. I am a second generation Firefighter in Jacksonville, Florida and the Founder of the Myrtle & Moncrief Clothing Company.

On that September day in 1963, my Father, Fred Mooneyham, Sr, stood among the men photographed in front of Fire Station 18 on the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Moncrief Road in Jacksonville, Florida. 40 years later, I joined the department on the same truck, at the same station, on the same corner.

So I had a thought.

I wanted a way to celebrate the service and commitment of the men and women who show up to serve, not just from the corner of Myrtle and Moncrief, but in every firehouse , in every city , who continue the promise made that day that has been carried forward for generations.

I wanted to create a clothing line to reflect that commitment.

Myrtle & Moncrief Clothing Company was built from that same spirit. We make clothing and goods inspired by the firehouse, the job, and the life built around it.

But the values behind them are not just for Firefighters. They are for anyone who believes in hard work, loyalty, family, service, and taking care of the people around them.

Our clothing is designed with pride, purpose, and materials meant to last. So when the day slows, and you settle in, these are the pieces you'll reach for first. Familiar, dependable, and carrying the quiet comfort of tradition.

Our goal is to continuously create quality products that are relatable and bring real comfort. Not just for those in the firefighting community, but to anyone who appreciates well made goods that make everyday life a little better, easier, and a lot more meaningful.

So as we begin this journey we hope you'll come along for the ride. Maybe that means buy a shirt or two, or maybe it just means believing in what we are trying to build.

And like any fire that starts small, we hope this grows into something strong- a brand you trust, a comfort you reach for, and maybe one day, a place you can walk into and feel right at home.
