The Red Light Tee is built from a real piece of Jacksonville firehouse history.

This design was animated from an actual wall inside Station 18, known by its nickname Fort Apache, located at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Moncrief Road — the very place that inspired the name Myrtle & Moncrief Clothing Company.

The artwork features the control switches used to stop traffic and allow the apparatus to safely leave the station when going on a run. To most people, it may look like a brick wall, a red light, and a few switches. But to firefighters, it represents the moment before everything starts — before the bay clears, before the sirens hit the street, and before the company goes to work.

Rooted in the very station at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Moncrief Road, this shirt honors the place, the history, and the firehouse culture behind Myrtle & Moncrief Clothing Company.
